Fossil Report
This will be the last report before the big event, so here's some updates.
The Bike Gamer will be moved to Bear Hollow due to volunteer reasons. But the Bike Show is still planned in downtown Fossil. I'm really excited about the Sunday poker run this year. Mainly because of the route. This year were headed south thru Mitchell, Dayville, Spray, Service Creek and back to camp. This promises to be one of the most scenic runs you'll even ride.
The Bands are locked in and should be as good if not better than last year. For those who stayed for Sunday the last couple years, you know what a treat the Band-Its are. With the addition of there new harp player they should be hoppen.
As usual there is always a need for volunteers. Sign up at the info booth when you arrive. Don't forget you can earn ABATE bucks which could go for the cool fossil T-Shirt coming out this year.
The vendors are filling up with Jim's back this year with his food stand. We also have a new coconut shrimp vendor. The Espresso Ladies will be back as well.
Gere Mortimere had been working hard to get the site ready. He's adding a new bridge that concludes the loop over the creek. When you see him there give him a slap on the back. His hard work and long hours is what makes Bear Hollow a great site.
Don't forget, you get one support rig no longer than 20' for every 10 bikers. Chapters remember their 5 + raffle items. Our new chapter Lower Columbia has already stepped up and donated some great stuff. Good Job!
This years 32nd Fossil Campout can only be as good as you make it. Buy your tickets now and support ABATE of Oregon.
See ya there
